Describe a typically poor diet

High saturated fat or high salt put you at risk of heart disease

Explain what Cholesterol is.
A
This is a fatty substance that builds up in your arteries . This narrows them so less blood can get through - this leads to heart attack.
Some is needed to make cell membranes

What happens if you get narrow arteries?
A
The heart gets oxygen from the coronary arteries - if they become narrowed due to cholesterol, it reduces oxygen supply to the heart - increased chance of blockage leading to a heart attack.

What is thrombosis?
A
A blood clot can completely cuts off the blood to the heart.
