Where is the heart located?
In the chest between the lungs behind the sternum above the diaphram surrounded by the pericardium
What does blood transport?
Oxygen, carbon dioxide, nutrients, hormaones, wbc, chemicals for protection of invaders
What is the function of the heart?
pumps blood around the body, vessels transport blood to tissues
What are veins?
Vessicals, veins pump blood away from heart
What arteries?
Aortic and pulmonary arteries, brings blood back to the heart
What is bp?
blood pressure, lacterial force on the walls of an artery from blood pulsing under pressure from the heart

peak pressure following contraction
what is dystolic pressure
blood pressure falls during relaxtion

What does the liver do?
metabolises drugs, water solouble
What do the kidneys do?
Excrete urine
Abnormal rapid heartbeat, beats over 100bpm

An abnormally slow heart beat
