Heart Flashcards
What are the types of pericardium?
Fibrous + serous (visceral & parietal)
What is transverse sinus?
Index finger behind pulmonary trunk + aorta and in front of SVC
What is oblique sinus?
Between pulmonary artery + vein
What does left heart receive from? Where does it pump it to?
Receive= SVC Pump= Pulmonary trunk -> lung
What does right heart receive from? Where does it pump it to?
Receive= pulmonary vein Pump= aorta
Each side of heart has an - and a -
an aorta and a ventricle
What is the aorta three divisions (left to right)?
brachiocephalic, common carotid and subclavian
What is right coronary artery division?
SA, AV, posterior IV and marginal
What is left coronary artery division?
anterior IV and circumflex
What is anterior coronary veins?
anterior cardiac vein + great cardiac vein
What is posterior coronary veins?
Small cardiac vein, middle cardiac vein, oblique cardiac vein and coronary sinus
What artery mostly supplies heart?
Anterior IV
What do you heart at stethoscope in 2nd intercostal left?
Pulmonary valve
What do you heart at stethoscope in 2nd intercostal right?
aorta
What do you heart at stethoscope in middle of sternum- 5th intercostal space?
tricuspid
What do you heart at stethoscope in left of sternum- 5th intercostal space?
bicuspid
What is pericardial effusion?
compression of heart
What is cardiac tamponade?
heart doesnt expand due to fibrous pericardium
What is myocardial infraction?
blood supply is clotted -> death of tissue
What is coronary artery occlusion?
obstruction due to plaque –> fix by bypass/ stenting
