As outlined in the Omega Procedure v.2.0 (Dec 27, 2010)
This procedure is to be followed by all staff with regard to calls appropriate for downstream to HealthLinkBC

If caller refuses downstream or if it is not appropriate to use HealthLink
A
the EMCT must inform the DS, DO, or Charge Dispatcher and document the reason in the event
*Dispatchers should be looking for this documented information in the call when they are sending a unit to a call with Nurseline as the RAP

When transferring the caller the following information must be relayed
A
- Callers name
- Patients name
- Callers phone number
- Brief description of the medical problem
- MPDS Call Category (e.g. Omega)
- BCAS Event number - essential to track call
