Stress

Perception
is the act of becoming aware through the senses
What affect can stress have?
Both positive and negative effects. Positive stress can motivate you and negative stress can interfere with your ability to perform.
Stressor
anything that causes stress. They can be real, imagined, anticipated, or unexpected.
What is active during your body’s response to stress?
Both your nervous system and endocrine system. The physical response is largely involuntary or automatic.
What are the three stages of the stress response?
- Alarm - fight, flight, or freeze
- Resistance - Body adapts and reacts to the stressor.
- Fatigue - If prolonged, body loses its ability to adapt.
