What is the zero tolerance approach?
This approach is mainly focused on drug use or any other behaviours that may serious consequences to the health of individual or those around them.

The aim of preventing an illness or disease before it occurs.
What is secondary prevention
aims to reduce the impact of a disease once it is affecting an individual.
What is tertiary prevention
This level aims to prevent an illness/condition from returning once it has been treated/cured.
What are public health approaches
These approaches aim to target large groups of people and have an effect on bigger parts of the community.
What is health promotion
Health promotion is anything that anyone or any group does to empower another person to improve their health.
Why are non-government organisation usually formed
Non-Government Organisations are often formed due to an identified need within the community.
What are the roles of NGO’s
Their roles include education, the provision of health services, research, training and lobbying the Government to achieve change in some areas.
What are international organisations
These international organisations have been developed to promote global health and often focus a lot of their attention to third world countries and areas of the most need.
