2nd part of small intestine where digestion finishes off and the absorption of nutrients occurs. Contains villi.
Jejunum
The organ that produces bile to help break down lipids into smaller droplets, bile stored in gallbladder until needed.
Liver
Regulates the entry of the Bolis into stomach and prevents stomach content from going back up esophagus
Esophageal sphincter
Responsible for the physical breakdown of food to increase its surface area for digestion
Teeth
A tube that transports bile from hull bladder to the duodenum
Bile duct
Muscular tube carries bolus from pharynx the stomach through peristalsis
Esophagus
1st part of small intestine, chemical digestion
Duodenum
Regulates release of chyme from stomach and small intestine
Pyloric sphincter
Muscular organ that positions food for chewing, mixes food with saliva, pushes bolis down.
Tounge
First part of large intestine
