What is chain of custody?
A process that tracks the movement of evidence through its collection, safeguarding, and analysis lifecycle by documenting each person who handled the evidence, the date and time it was collected or transferred, and the purpose for the transfer
What does the Regulated Health Professions Act do? ( RHPA )
The governing framework for the regulations of health and professions in ontario. They set out several roles and responsibilities for the Minister and other organizations.

An application for a license, to establish or operate or maintain a “laboratory” shall be summited to the director.

What is PIPEDA and who do they protect?
They give individuals (EVERYONE) control over how their (GENERAL) ‘personal info’ is handled in the private sector. PIPEDA states that any collection, use or disclosure of personal info must only be for the purposes that a reasonanble person would consider appropriate in the circumstances.
What is PHIPIA and who do they protect?
It governs the way personal ‘health information’ may be collected, used and disclosed in the health care sector.
What is the Canada health care act?
to ensure that all eligible residents of Canada have reasonable access to insured health services on a prepaid basis, without direct charges at the point of service for such services.
What is the purpose of the TDG Act and Regulations? AND what do the regulations do?
is to promote public safety when dangerous goods are being handled, offered for transport, or transported by road, rail, air, or water. They also establish safety requirements. THe regulations are a set of rules that prescribe safety standards and shipping requirements.
Are TDG regulations federal or provincial?
They are both.
What is Medicare?
Universal health coverage.
What is The Hazardous Products Regulation Act? What are the key elements?
specify the criteria for classifying hazards posed by chemical products and requirements for product labels and SDS. 1) classification criteria for health hazards associated with hazardous products 2) requirements for product labels to communicate the hazards of chemicals used in workplaces 3) requirements for SDSs to provide more detailed information concerning the hazards of chemicals used in workplaces.
What is WHIMIS?
Workplace hazardous materials information system. The purpose to is to ensure the protection of Canadian workers from the adverse effects of hazardous products through the provision of relevant health and safety of hazardous products through the provision of relevant health and safety information.
What is the Occupational Health and Safety Act?
It sets out the duties of employers, supervisors and workers to provide a safe workplace.
What is a dangerous goods safety mark? When do you need it?
They provide quick identification of dangerous goods and their hazards. They are needed depending on the size of the package and the classification of the dangerous goods.
What is the purpose of the Hazardous Products Act?
requires suppliers of hazardous products to communicate the hazards associated with their products via product labels and safety data sheets as a condition of sale and importation for workplace use.
