What is a communicable disease?

A disease that can spread from one person to another by pathogens (e.g bacteria or a virus)

A
A disease causing virus, bacteria, fungi or protists which can infect animals and plants

What is a non-communicable disease?
A
A disease that can’t spread from one person to another (apart from offspring) e.g heart disease or arthritis

What are some causes of non-communicable diseases?
A
A poor diet (leads to diabetes), higher stress levels, life situations (e.g financial status), physical and mental health
