At infinity, so that it is still in focus when you look out through the HUD.

What happens to the display in the HUD when in Nav master mode and the gear is fully locked down?

The horizon bar becomes much longer.

The AoA E-bracket appears.

What HUD Master Modes are available? How are they selected?

Answer 4

Navigation (NAV), Air to Air (A/A) and Air to Ground (A/G). Selected using the buttons on the right hand side of the UFCP, or the thumb rocker switch on the control column.

What is the difference between FPM CAGE and UNCAGE options?

Answer 5

When Uncaged, the FPM will show exactly where the aircraft is going. When Caged, it will continue to show where the aircraft is going on the vertical axis of the HUD, but it will be locked to the centre of the horizontal axis.

What happens when the Repeat/ Norm switch is set to Repeat in the front cockpit, and Norm is the rear cockpit?

The rear cockpit displays will be shown in both the front and rear cockpits.
