How are dry ice limits set for UPS aircraft?
Based upon a function of carbon dioxide concentration in both inhabited and uninhabited sections of the aircraft.
Concentration is made up of both:
1. Dry ice sublimation rate
2. Amount of fresh air supplied to aircraft components
How does UPS define a “significant” amount of Dry ice?
Equal to or greater than 1400 lbs.
