Metaphor, the colour green shows jealousy and envious. Pebbles for eyes shows that she’s sole less as they are hard surfaces with nothing behind them.

Word choice, Shows that she’s clenching in rage and that she’s helpless.

Shows violence towards the man that jilted her at the alter as she wants to murder him brutally. She wants to make him suffer.

Spinster is on it’s own to show that she is also alone and isolated. Spinster is someone who has never been married.

This shows that she is very distressed and can’t handle that she is alone as she is screaming at the wall. Onomatopoeia-Cawing shows that she is like an distressed bird endlessly repeating the same sound.

Enjambment, to me is on its own to highlight that she is also on her own. Also the hesitation in the sentence shows denial as she can’t believe how she has changed.

The lost body means that her ex fiancé is lost to her. Over me implies that he is over her. The lost body over me is her having sexually fantasies about her wedding night should’ve been like.

When fantasying about her fiancé she refers to him as an object and she has dehumanised him to show her hatred. She hates him but she still has sexual fantasies about him.

She referring to her ex fiancé and she can do what she wants with him because he is dead and lifeless. This shows us that Havisham is mental because she is a necrophiliac. She can do anything she wants as she is in control of her ex fiancés body. She wants to take her time with him and she can’t leave.

Stink is because she has never end washed since being jilted at the alter and she’s kept her wedding dress on. Remember shows that she will also remember the day she was jilted at the alter.

This is because she hasn’t washed since her wedding day and she has kept the dress on the whole time and it’s yellowing because it’s dirty.

Shows that she is staring into a broken mirror as it reminds her of the man that abandoned her. Suggest that it has been slashed by her in an act of violence.
