How does our ELD send information to the could and the Admin Dashboard.
ELD is equipped with a 4G AT&T chip
Bluetooth passes driver logbook data
from ELD to the mobile app
The AT&T connection passes all vehicle related information (Location, fault codes, utilization, video) directly from the gateway to the KeepTruckin Admin
Dashboard in real time
What happens if a truck is in a cellular deadzone?
The data remains stored on the vehicle
gateway until an internet connection is
re-established
How does GPS tracking work on the ELD?
ELD is equipped with a GPS receiver
Receiver communicates with satellites to
triangulate the gateway’s position every 30
seconds that the vehicle is in motion, every time
it starts & stops, & every time turns by a certain
radius
If left light on the gateway is green,
the receiver is able to collect GPS coordinates
The 4G AT&T connection transmits the location to the admin dashboard.
How does the WiFi work on the ELD?
WiFi HotSpot generates a WiFi network with 500MB/month
500 MB data runs out, customers should keep a data plan so they can continue to get data to the backend
dashboard in real time via internet connection on
