A

Primary Danger: Angle of Attack

  1. Block with 90 left arm, while stepping in.
  2. Right arm shoots in next to neck and then wraps behind op’s elbow. Grasp blocking arm.
  3. Wrench arm by rotating back and down.
  4. Opportunity to throw op to the ground.
  5. Disarm and stretch P.O.R.

Primary Danger: Angle of Attack

  1. Step off-line and shoot both hands up and then move downwards to direct the knife arm.
      • by pushing into op’s body.
  2. Left arm maintains knife arm pin. (Grab shirt?)
  3. Right pushes op’s chin away, and then reverses and pulls/lifts up

Stab/Slash from Your Left to Right

A

Primary Danger: Angle of Attack

  1. Block/grab op’s arm with one hand up/ one hand down (arms straight).
  2. Kick to groin.
  3. Collapse/pull arms in, to hug op’s arm to your body. One hand close to armpit, one close to op’s wrist. Armpit hand elbow shoves on op’s face.
  4. Three knees
    5a. Step on foot and shove knife arm away

Or…
5b. Maintain grip near knife!

Right hand shoves down on op’s neck and you rotate around to knock op to ground.

Drop to kneeling on op’s neck and ribs. Peel knife away.

Or…
5c. Right arm reaches around op’s head to grasp op’s chin Pull up and around to break neck,

Stab.Slash from your Right to Left

A

Primary Danger: Angle of Attack

  1. While stepping to 10 o’clock, block/grab op’s arm with one hand up/ one hand down (arms straight).
  2. Yank op towards you and kick to groin.
  3. Pass op’s arm to outside (down).
  4. Collapse/pull arms in, to hug op’s arm to your body. One hand close to armpit, one close to op’s wrist (armpit hand elbow shoves on op’s face).
  5. Three knees
    6a. Step on foot and shove knife arm away

Or…
6b. Maintain grip near knife!

A

Primary Danger: Angle of Attack

  1. Step off-line to eleven o’clock while blocking with 90 deg inside arm.
  2. Hook blocking hand down to grasp knife arm while stepping in to deliver punch to triangle (below ear).
  3. Establish over/under grip to pass op’s arm to outside.
  4. Collapse/pull arms in, to hug op’s arm to your body. One hand close to armpit, one close to op’s wrist. Armpit hand elbow shoves on op’s face.
  5. Three knees
    6a. Step on foot and shove knife arm away

Or…
6b. Maintain grip near knife!

Right hand shoves down on op’s neck and you rotate around to knock op to ground.

Primary Danger: Angle of Attack

  1. Lean forward and block with 90 deg arm. Slap to op’s groin with other hand.
  2. Blocking hand curls under, free hand goes over to collapse/pull arms in, to hug op’s arm to your body. One hand close to armpit, one close to op’s wrist. Armpit hand elbow shoves on op’s face.
  3. Three knees
    4a. Step on foot and shove knife arm away

Or…
4b. Maintain grip near knife!

Right hand shoves down on op’s neck and you rotate around to knock op to ground.

Drop to kneeling on op’s neck and ribs. Peel knife away.

Or…
4c. Right arm reaches around op’s head to grasp op’s chin Pull up and around to break neck.

Knife Threat to the Throat, Knife Outside.

Op has grabbed your clothing with one hand and is holding a knife to your throat with the blade facing Op’s grabbing hand.

A

Primary Danger: Knife edge moving against your neck

  1. Compliance phrase, raise hands to shoulder height - one one each side of the op’s knife hand.
  2. Inside arm strikes knife arm while you rotate your body into the blow (moves your neck away from the blade).
  3. Knife hand is “served” to the other hand. Grab above the wrist and tightly pin the knife hand to your chest.
  4. Free hand strikes to triangle (below ear), and then grabs op’s shirt behind neck. Rotate your body to establish point of reference.
  5. Three knees
    6a. Step on foot and shove knife arm away

Or…
6b. Maintain grip near knife!

Right hand shoves down on op’s neck and you rotate around to knock op to ground.

Primary Danger: Knife edge moving against your neck

  2. Outside arm strikes op’s knife arm while your body rotates and to step in to move the knife away from your throat.
  3. Knife hand is “served” to the other hand. Grab forearm with striking hand and tightly pin the knife hand to your chest.
  4. Free hand strikes to triangle (below ear), and then grabs op’s shirt behind neck. Rotate your body to establish point of reference.
  5. Three knees
    6a. Step on foot and shove knife arm away

Or…
6b. Maintain grip near knife!

Hostage Style / Headlock

A

Primary Danger: Knife edge moving against your neck

  1. Compliance phrase, raise hands to shoulder height
  2. Both hands yank down on knife hand (one hand near knife, careful!) and drop to base.
  3. Non-knife hand slap to groin.
  4. Hand come back up and pushes up elbow. Drop back and through while bring knife hand with.
  5. Twist arm up or use ops hand to stab into his back.
