Gun Threat Front High (Head)
A
Primary Danger - Line of Fire
- Comply - Hands at shoulder height. Begin statement
- Drop and widen stance. Hands snap up w/ thumbs overlapped. Aim for trigger guard.
- Rotate the gun over to point at op.
- Step in, to slam the barrel of gun into op’s chest.
- Step back and yank to take gun.
- Create distance. Clear gun and aim at op. Safety?

Gun Threat Side - Head or Neck - In Front of Ear

Primary Danger - Line of Fire
- Comply - Hands at shoulder height. Begin statement
- Step towards op/Grab gun at trigger guard. Push down and away.
- Punch op’s face.
- Reach free hand under and grasp at hammer. Rotate gun and step back/yank gun away from op.
- Create distance. Clear gun and aim at op. Safety?

Gun Threat Side - High - Head - Behind the Ear

Primary Danger - Line of Fire
- Comply - Hands at shoulder height. Begin statement
- Turn your head and step towards op, passing gun. Near arm grasp op’s gun arm, hand on forearm/op’s wrist in elbow.
- Free arm elbow to neck. Knee to groin and push op back.
- Free hand grasps top of gun. Rotate gun while you rotate your body and “punch” gun away. Elbow to face.
- Create distance. Clear gun and aim at op. Safety?

Gun Threat Side - Side of Body - In Front of the Arm

Primary Danger - Line of Fire
- Comply - Keep hands at your side. Arms spread slightly and hands open. Begin statement
- “Scoop” your body and hop back slightly to get your torso out of the line of fire/ one hand grasps gun at trigger guard. Other hand grasps wrist.
- Rotate your body to face op and rotate gun further to point at op.
- Step in and ram gun into ops chest. Step back and yank gun free.
- Create distance. Clear gun and aim at op. Safety?

- Free arm elbow to neck. Pull head towards you and knee to groin.

- Comply - Hands at shoulder height. Begin statement

Gun Threat - Rear - Hostage Style

Primary Danger - Line of Fire
- Comply - Hands at shoulder height. Hands should be offset so that one hand is in front of your face. Begin statement. Rotate your head enough to see the gun.
- Rotate torso and snap the hand that is in front of you face around to grasp/push the barrel of the gun so it is aimed at your op.
- Free hand slips your under and inside op’s elbow. Grab op’s forearm at wrist.
- Rotate your body towards op while rotating op’s gun hand down. Elbow or shoulder damage.
- Both hands on gun “punch out” to remove gun. Elbow to face.
- Create distance. Clear gun and aim at op. Safety?

Gun Threat Front - Low (Chest)

Primary Danger - Line of Fire
- Comply - Hands at shoulder height. Begin statement.
- Rotate torso (line of fire) and grab gun at trigger guard with weak hand.
- Step in. Gun pushed down and away. Punch to face with strong hand.
- Free hand under the gun at hammer. Rip gun away by rotating gun and stepping away.
- Create distance. Clear gun and aim at op. Safety?

Gun Threat Front - Low (Under Chin)

Primary Danger - Line of Fire
- Comply - Hands at shoulder height. One hand on each side of the gun. Begin statement.
- Rapidly turn torso, strike gun hand to “serve” op’s hand to your other hand. Pin gun hand to shoulder.
- Free hand strike to triangle. Slap hand behind neck and grab shirt. One Knee
- Free hand grabs the gun overhand. “Punch straight out” to take the gun. Elbow to the face.
- Create distance. Clear gun and aim at op. Safety?
