Dorsipalmer Hand

A
  1. remove jewellery and watches
  2. Pronate hand, palmer aspect on the IR
  3. Medial Plane of forearm and hand is aligned
  4. Slightly separate fingers and thumbs
  5. Anatomical marker place
  6. SID is 100cm

CENTERING POINT: head of 3rd metacarpal

  1. Collomation: all phalanges, soft tissue border of hand and distal radius and ulna
  2. for trauma, fracture, tutor, foreign body

  2. Pronate hand, palmer aspect on IR
  3. externally rotate hand 45 degrees
  4. keep medial aspect of hand and thumb in contact with IR
  5. anatomical marker
  6. SID 100cm

CENTERING POINT: head of 3rd metacarpal

  1. Collomation: all phalanges, soft tissue border of hand, distal radius and ulna
  2. for trauma, fracture (metacarpal), tutor, foreign body

A
  1. remove jewelry and watches
  2. externally rotate from DP position by 90 degrees
  3. extend and abduct thumb
  4. use pads where needed
  5. anatomical marker
  6. SID 100cm

CENTERING POINT: medial aspect of 2nd metacarpal

  1. Collomation: all phalanges, soft tissue border of hand, distal radius and ulna
  2. displacement of metacarpal fractures, foreign body locate
