Dorsipalmer Hand
A
- remove jewellery and watches
- Pronate hand, palmer aspect on the IR
- Medial Plane of forearm and hand is aligned
- Slightly separate fingers and thumbs
- Anatomical marker place
- SID is 100cm
CENTERING POINT: head of 3rd metacarpal
- Collomation: all phalanges, soft tissue border of hand and distal radius and ulna
- for trauma, fracture, tutor, foreign body

A
- remove jewellery and watches
- Pronate hand, palmer aspect on IR
- externally rotate hand 45 degrees
- keep medial aspect of hand and thumb in contact with IR
- anatomical marker
- SID 100cm
CENTERING POINT: head of 3rd metacarpal
- Collomation: all phalanges, soft tissue border of hand, distal radius and ulna
- for trauma, fracture (metacarpal), tutor, foreign body

A
- remove jewelry and watches
- externally rotate from DP position by 90 degrees
- extend and abduct thumb
- use pads where needed
- anatomical marker
- SID 100cm
CENTERING POINT: medial aspect of 2nd metacarpal
- Collomation: all phalanges, soft tissue border of hand, distal radius and ulna
- displacement of metacarpal fractures, foreign body locate
