What is a fat pad sign?
A fat pad sign occurs when the normal pads of fat surrounding the bones in the elbow becomes raised
Where are fat pads in the elbow located?
Their location is anterior to the coronoid and radial fossae located on the distal anterior humerus.
What is a radial head fracture?
a fracture in the section of the radius near the elbow
What is an olecranon fracture?
a break in the end of the ulna (the pointy bit)
What is a communinted fracture?
It is common for the distal humerus to break into several pieces
many pieces broken, shattered
How does a dislocated elbow look like?
occurs when the humerus, ulna and radius (the elbow bones) move out of place where they meet at the elbow joint

Radial Head :3 - 5 Years
Internal Epicondyle :5 Years
Trochlear :7 – 11 Years
Olecranon :9 - 12 Years
External/Lateral Epicondyle :13 Years
