1) Flexion of the PIP and extension of the DIP; can be flexible or rigid
2) May see corns at dorsal PIP

A
1) Non-operative with high show box and gel sleeves
2) FDL to extensor transfer

What are the treatment options for a rigid hammer toe deformity?
A
1) Non-operative with high show box and gel sleeves
2) Resection arthroplasti +/- FDL to extensor transfer
3) Arthrodesis (high non-union rate)
