Halloween est un jour férié le 31 octobre. On croyait qu’à Halloween, les fantômes reviendraient dans le monde. Aujourd’hui, c’est une fête pour les gens qui se déguisent avec des costumes effrayants.

Dans mon quartier, tout le monde se déguise. Les adultes attendent à la maison que les enfants demandent des bonbons. Les enfants vont d’une maison à l’autre et demandent des bonbons. Je me promène un moment dans le quartier, puis j’attends chez moi.

(In my neighborhood, everyone puts on costumes. The adults wait at home for the kids to ask for candy. The kids go from one house to another and ask for candy. I walk around the neighborhood for some time, then I wait at home.)

Certaines personnes refusent de célébrer Halloween pour plusieurs raisons. Certaines personnes pensent qu’Halloween est impie et démoniaque. C’est contre certaines religions. Certaines personnes n’aiment pas les choses qui font peur. Mais ça va.

(Some people refuse to celebrate Halloween for many reasons. Some people think that Halloween is unholy and demonic. It is against some religions. Some people do not like scary things. But, that’s ok.)
