• DP ascends toward bulge
• Fiber/root sheath stop growing due to lack of DP stimulation
• ORS shrinks, attaches to root (club hair)

• Bottom of follicle alongside bulge
• DP isolated in dermis
• Follicle completely at rest
• Club hair completely formed
• 25-100 hairs shed each day
