Q

Explain receiver high rendezvous

A

It’s usually used when receiver is performance limited

The receiver is 200ft above the tanker on join up altitude

7
Q

What are some common rendezvous geometries? Explain them

A

Delta-head on offset, good for tight terrain. Time to 3 min prior at the offsetARIP
Golf-enroute overtaking, very important for ToT adherence to be tight on this rendezvous
Hotel-random geometry as long as the receiver and the tanker join up at the CP
Texaco-on call refueling
*for ground Texaco remember the 2 min advisory call for helos to get into position

17
Q

What is EMCON 3

A

Radio silent, use of emitters is permitted unless specifically prohibited

18
Q

What is EMCON 4?

A

No emission authorized

  • variations of EMCONS due to safety of flight of mission are acceptable
19
Q

Why do we do formation refueling?

A

Mutual support

Recover aircraft can provide visual picture

MH-46-2700lb/hr
CV-22-3000lb/hr

23
Q

What is the forward travel distance/time?

A

It is the exit time plus the decelerati quotient

DQ Is the point at which nonlinear progression stops

Calculated by (GS/1.77)=(FTD/FTT)

24
Q

What is vertical distance?

A

The distance it takes the bundle/person from drop altitude to stabilize under canopy

25
Q

What are the basic components of HAHO, HALO and CARP?

A

CARP-DDE, FTD
HALO-FTD, HVDE, DDE
HAHO-FTD, DDE, LAR is based off drive chute

26
Q

What is the high velocity Vector?

A

HV vector is the fall distance in feet the parachutist descends from stabilization to actuation altitude
