What does COSHH do
Control of Substances hazardous to human health
. prevent and mitigate risks with hazardous substances
. Data sheets, fact sheets which are kept with the substance showing how to be handled, protocol for emergency etc
. Should take measures against, ie: PPE, training, Storage
example relating to COSHH
Site visit, unlocked COSHH locker, notify site manager, asked if sorted, checked next time i was there
What is RIDDOR
Reporting of injuries, disease or dangerous occurrence, regs (2013)
In juries which keep people off for 3 days or off usual duties for 7 days - report to HSE
.some must be reported regardless - fractures, burns etc
