Increase fluids but avoid tea, coffee and alcohol
Avoid scented products in the vaginal areas
Wipe front to back

Avoid spicy foods and fruit juices

A

Before menstruation begins, progesterone levels drop. Prostaglandins increase in the uterus and this causes the cramping sensation and the lining of the uterus wall begins to shred.
