A
ovum released into Fallopian tube + travels to uterus
(fertilisartion occurs if ovum meets sperm in Fallopian tube)

organs thick lining + muscular walls
- fertilised ovum implants itself in uterus lining where foetus develops
- unfertilised ovum dissolves and lining of wall is shed (menstruation)

- made up of strong muscles
- allows flow of menstrual blood
- directs sperm into uterus during sex
- childbirth = expand to 10cm
