Warning signs hirsutism
A
May indicate androgen secreting tumor:
- rapid development of hirsutism
- late onset
- progression despite therapy
- signs of virilization

Total or free testosterone for hirsutism
A
Free is the biologically active, but variability in measurements makes it less accurate to measure

treatment hirsutism
A
- OCPs (low-androgen with desogestrol and drosperinone may slightly improve more)
- anti-androgens (spironolactone, finasteride, dutasteride)
