Guiding Principles Flashcards
Why should an organisation use the guiding principles?
They can help organisations undertake continual improvement, communicating with stakeholders and the co-creation of value.
Focus on Value
Identify stakeholders and examine their desires and how to co-create value for them.
Start Where You Are
Assess your assets and find what is already creating value. Observations should be supported by measurements and data.
Progress with Iterations and Feedback
Break work into small pieces that are constantly evaluated. Offering feedback during each iteration helps to make focused informed decisions.
Collaborate and Promote Visibility
Collaborating with as many stakeholders as possible will promote visibility with all parties involved. Chose appropriate forms of communication and consider contrasting opinions.
Think and Work Holistically
No process exists in isolation, end-to-end progression of each process should be mapped and the 4 dimensions considered.
Keep it Simple and Practical
Processes that do not actively deliver value should be eliminated. Break work into simple steps.
Optimise and Automate
Metrics should be obtained at all stages allows us to optimise, and we should always optimise before we automate.
What is the link between the Guiding Principles?
They complement each other and work together to create the most efficient results possible.
