polydipsia, polyuria
REFER
Common UTI pathogens
E coli, Klebsiella, Enterococcus, Proteus
UTI etiology
constipation
delayed maturation
UT anomalies, neurogenic bladder, vesicoureteral reflex (congenital, 70% of infants with UTIs)
UTI sxs infants
vomiting, irritability, poor feeding, fever
maybe malodorous urine
UTI complications
Repeated UTIs can cause renal scarring
Pyelo Tx
IV abx oral abx (clavulinic acid, cephalex, TMP-SMX)
Cystitis ND Tx
UT tinctures, teas, D-mannose, water, cranberry, corn silk, equisetum
Enuresis
primary- deep sleep, maturation delay, failure to decrease urinary volume at night
secondary- UTI, emotional stress, polyuria condition
Enuresis Tx
educate avoid negative interventions fluid restriction CBT bell and pad alarm? Ca/Mg food sensitivity
Vulvovaginitis

- allergic rxn
- foreign materials
- candida
- trauma
- sex abuse/STDs
- lichen sclerosis

Phimosis
physiologic- prepuce attached to glans
fibrotic- tx with betamethasone
Balanitis
infection of glans
antifungals or abx
