A
Cardiac chest pain (with BP >90mmHg systolic) associated with MI or angina
Breathlessness due to pulmonary oedema in acute heart failure (with BP >110mmHg systolic)
Patients with suspected cocaine toxicity presenting with chest pain

A
Potent vasodilator resulting in:
Dilation of coronary arteries
Dilation of systemic veins resulting in lower pre load
Lowers BP
Reduces coronary spasm

Contraindications
A
Hypovolaemia Hypotension <90mmHg systolic Head trauma Cerebral haemorrhage Viagra (sidenafil) in last 24hrs Unconsciousness Known severe aortic / mitral stenosis
