Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing, Adjourning

Forming Stage
A
Group comes together. Primary tension: Nervousness, Jitters, Not knowing the people

Storming Stage
A
Secondary tension: Jockey for position, Leaders may emerge, Goal disagreements may occur.

Norming Stage
A
Group decided on group norms (rules)

Explicit Norms
A
Rules are written down or expressed verbally

Implicit Norms
A
Rules that are never stated but everyone knows what they are

Performing Stage
A
The group accomplished the goal

A
The group may disband once the project has been completed
