Conceptualising group effectiveness

- Amount
- Variability
- Compatibility
Comment on amount of resources as a factor
Gill (1984) most skilled players makes the best team
Weinberg and Gould (2011) as the co operation nature of a task or sport increases less dependency on individual skill and more importance for co - ordination
Comment on variability of member attributes
Horrowitz and Horrowitz (2007) and Carron and EYs (2012) heterogenous teams are more successful however, Windmeyor and Loy (1981) found that homogeonous teams performed better in womens tennis
Comment on compatifibility of member attributes
