How is the climat in greece ?

A

1) overall Greece has an hot mediterranean climate
- - in the summer temp can reach over 30°c
- - the coastal areas tend to be moderated by the sea
2) altitude and wind which in the islands of the south east are strong enough to destroy unprotected vineyards
3) the best vineyards are to be found in these cooler sites
4) rainfall levels can vary: but even in the wetter areas in the west of the countrys there could be insufficient rainfall and cause waterstress
5) drought is a particular concern on the eastern side of greece which lies in the shadow of the mountains Pindos Oros, where there is little available water for irrigation
