A bar chart is used to show discrete data(data in categories) which are not related

Histograms can show continuous data(related data) but bar charts only show discrete data

Advantages include: -Relevance to everyday life -Identifies the presence/absence of a relationship between variables Disadvantages include: -Time consumption -Not establishing cause & effect
