What is the Grain Code?
A
International Code for the carriage of Grain in Bulk
Purpose is to have an international standard for the safe carriage of grain

What is a DOA when carrying grain?
A
A document of Authorisation. Serves as evidence that the vessel is capable of carrying grain in accordance with the rules.
Must be accompanied or incorporated into the grain loading manual, which contains information that the Master is able to meet the stability requirements of the code
