Who is the cabinet?
Most senior ministers only and has an inner circle of 20 or so ministers chosen by the PM.
What is the role of the cabinet.
The role of the cabinet is to oversee and co-ordinate the operations of the government, take general decisions on policy, act as a forum to resolve disputes between minsters and make detailed decisions on politically sensitive matters
What does the PM do?
The PM, the prime minister, has powers to exercise on behalf of the sovereign powers trusted by the royal prerogative.
The PM is the leader of the cabinet in the House of Commons, chairs weekly cabinet meetings, appoints cabinet ministers and can dismiss them, wide powers of patronage and represents the government.
