Q

Good to know Oil temperatures and start limits for operations and takeoff

A

Oil temperature limits:
<-40ºc = No Start
<-18ºc OAT with fog = all engine operations prohibited
≤5ºc = Idle Max
≤20ºc = 30% N1 max
≤50ºc = 50% N1 max
>50ºc = Takeoff power

Q

Good to know Airborne wing anti-ice system test limitations

A

1) Required on the first flight of the day.
2) Temperature must be below 15°C.
3) As long as it is initiated below FL310, and can be allowed to run to completion as long as it is complete prior to FL350.
4) Can be completed on the decent as long as you are below FL310 and 15°C.

Q

Good to know Upset recovery…

A

Push, Roll, Power, Stabilize

1)Push- Reduce AOA (if ineffective, less than 60° bank will help)
2)Roll- Wings level (only after unloading, and maintain approximately 0.5 G)
3)Power- Access energy state, and add or reduce power as necessary (If ground contact is eminent, increase the rest lovers to MAX)
4)Stabilize- Adjust pitch and power to stabilize, then adjust spoilers and Reconfigure as appropriate.
