Actions that are forbidden
Non religious attitudes to evil and suffering
They believe that a good God would not have designed a world that had natural evil.
If God is omnipotent he must be able to remove evil and suffering from the world.
If God is omnibenevolent he must want to remove evil and suffering from the world.
Muslim attitudes to suffering
God is much greater than humans so they cannot understand his motives and therefore must just accept what God does.
It comes from Allah as a reminder of sin.
It is a test of faith and character
It can be due to human actions
Good can come from suffering
It is a part of Allah’s plan
SOWA for evil and suffering
“Good and evil cannot be equal repel evil with what is better” -(Surah 41:34)
“Anything good that happens to you is from God anything bad is ultimately from yourself” -(Surah 64:16)
