Executing criminals by injecting them with sufficient poison to kill them.

Someone who is killed because of their beliefs.
Capital offence
A crime which can be punished by death.
Capital punishment
A punishment which takes away the criminals life.
There are several methods of capital punishment still in use around the world such as: lethal injection, electrocution, hanging, firing squad, stoning and decapitation.
Reasons why Muslim agree with capital punishment
It is a punishment set down by God in the Qur’an and Muslims believe the Qur’an is the word of God.
Muhammad made several statements agreeing with the capital punishment and Muhammad is the seal of the profits whose words should be obeyed.
Why Muslims disagree with capital punishment
They feel that capital punishment is recommended by the Qur’an but not compulsory.
They feel that since capital punishment does not reduce crimes and since there is a possibility of the wrong person being convicted and then executed capital punishment is not justice and so is banned by Surah 6:151 which states:
“Take not life which God has made sacred except by way of justice and the law.”
Reasons why humanists disagree with capital punishment
Murdered who know they are going to be killed if caught are more likely to kill more people to avoid being caught.
Human life is the most important thing there is so no one has the right to take it.Executing murderers demonstrates that society does not regard life as important.
SOWA for capital punishment
“Take not life which God has made sacred except by way of justice and law “ -(Surah 6:151)
“The punishment of those who wage war against God…….is execution or crucifixion “-( Surah 5:36)
Reasons why atheists agree with capital punishment
If people know that they will lose their life if they murder someone it will act as a deterrent and there will be fewer murderers.
Human life is the most important thing there is and the value of human life can only be shown by giving those who take human life the worst possible punishment which is the death penalty.
