The unit ensures that periodic reports, reviews, and other activities mandated by applicable accreditation standards are accomplished. The unit coordinates the Florida Model Jail Standards (FMJS) annual facility inspections and evaluates the Department of Corrections’ compliance with those state mandated standards. The unit is also responsible for the maintenance and archival retention of the Sheriff’s Office Written Directive System and agency forms and prepares and disseminates all agency information bulletins and memorandums. In addition, the unit responds to applicable public record requests.
