Describe the 2 types of colours and the terms tertiary and complementary
primary - red, blue and yellow - can’t be mix other colours to make them.
secondary - green, purple and orange - made from mixing 2 primary colours together.
tertiary - 3 colours mixed together = brown (primary = 1 colour, secondary = 2 colours)
complementary - opposite colours on the colour wheel

elements of art - lines, shapes, colour, texture and space
medium / media - materials used to make a picture
tone - lightness or darkness of a picture (white and black = tones)
texture - the surface or how a picture feels
translucent - allows light to pass through
composition - arrangement, how you make up your picture
focal point - centre of interest, where your eyes go
distort - twisted out of shape, recognisable but not realistic
still-life - ordinary everyday object, inanimate object
portrait - picture of a person, usually the face
landscape - country scene, background, calm
collage - picture made by various materials pasted on to it
geometric - mathematical, man-made shapes, shapes with names
organic - natural
perspective - scene of depth, more realistic, feeling of space on a 2D surface
