Meaning - improvisation, in character, tongue twisters, articulation, tableau

A

improvisation - preforming an act without script
in character - all words, actions are believable, as if you are really person you are portraying
tongue twister - sayings that improve your articulation, by creating difficult combination of sounds
articulation - process of sound becoming louder, stronger and taking on particular qualities trough vibration
tableau - when all performers on stage freeze

describe exercises that you can do to release tension

A

1 - stand with feet slightly apart. stretch arms above your head, slowly try stretch each arm higher than the other. do this 8 times.

2 - strech up with your right arm and then gently bend over to the left from the waist. come back to an upright position and repeat on the other side. shake your right leg, then your left leg. shake your right arm, then your left arm. shrug your shoulders up, and down gently, breathing in as you lift your shoulders up, and out as you release them.

A

what are the 7 types of performers and describe them

A

1 - stand-up comedian: solo performer, stand directly in front of audience, try to make them laugh
2 - stage / theatre actor: creates / acts characters in dramatic productions, these are presented in theatre to live audience
3 - extra: hired by day to play small part, usually unmemorable, in film / television production
4 - mime artist: presents silent performance using physical movement and gesture to tell story
5 - dancer: trained to move expressively + rhythmically often in particular style
6 - singer: sings professionally, maybe in particular style
7 - backing artist: musician / singer who supports lead singer in band / performance
