Globalization
The process in which the U.S was more involved with the matters of other Nations
Imperialism (New)
When one nation looks to extend their ideology, government, culture, economy, and influence on another country while gaining access to their human, technology and natural resources
American Annexation
A land addition to an already existent country (The U.S has annexations throughout the world)
Asian Market of Goods-
Items that are made in Asian Countries (Ex: China, Japan, Vietnam) that are sold to the U.S and are generally valued by other consumers.
Isolationism
When a country is more interested in the affairs of its own than with relationships with other countries.
Natural Resources-
Nonrenewable vital resources that come from the Earth (Water, Coal, Oil, Sugar, etc…)
Technological Resources
Developed technology that is state of the art and highly desirable to consumers that might not be invented in one’s own nation (examples - tech and cyber security, medications, new and advanced inventions)
Human Environment Interaction
The complex relationship between humans and their environment. Humans have the ability to change or alter their geography and environment and throughout needs to be made to what occurs before alterations
Nationalism
The sense of pride in your nation which ranges from celebration to military service. This can sometimes lead to negative matters.
Monroe Doctrine
In 1823, this document stated that the United States was not interested in allowing European nations to colonize any more neighboring countries in the Western Hemisphere. Historians believe it was the first piece of imperialism of the nation.
