Theory that sees whole world as a single integrated economic market.
Why is there not a single world government?
Capatalist like to be able to play other nations off against each other and have close ties to one that shares there interest at the expensive of another

Mass migration is hallmark of globalisation. World is split into rich who are sercived by migrating poor.
What is World Polity theory
Defines globalisation as a cultural process. cultural isomorphism takes place as poorer countries copy richer ones when structuring there institutions. Brings global homogeneity.
How does it show signs of global reflexivity?
Nations look to the global society to find the best norms and then attempt to replicate them on a national level.
Who are the refecltive actors?
Global elites. They monitor changes and define the norms.
Whats the problem?
Finding balance between the global and national. Elites will sometimes ignore national for the global. dont understand whats important to own people.
