Top down development is large scale development usually organised by the government or large international corporations/companies
What is bottom up development?
Bottom up development is grassroots development where local people are heavily involved with making decisions.
What is are advantages and disadvantages of top down development?
An advantage is there’s lots of funding, a disadvantage is that the people in power often know what will work best for the communities.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of bottom up development?
An advantage would be it is mostly organised local people so the plans are more suited to the communities. A disadvantage would be the lack of funding.
