Give Thanks To Oxygen/ 4 horsemen BR Flashcards
(MN: People all over the world give thanks to synthesized gods and saviors. If you really want to give thanks to what deserves it, thank oxygen!)
Ref: One strange rock, Netflix. Episode #1.
Without oxygen, life couldn’t grow larger than a pin head. All life forms would be MICROSCOPIC!
(MN: Is there alien life out there in the universe? YES, PLENTY OF IT, WE JUST CAN’T SEE IT. We are looking for big life forms like us. Bacteria came from space and because most places in outer space do not have oxygen, the life forms are microscopic.)
If the Earth had no oxygen, life would be very different. Every time I breathe In air, oxygen mixes with the food I have eaten and gives me energy.
(MN: end of documentary “One strange rock.”)
Without oxygen we would be microscopic and not able to move. We would not even have a heart because we would not possess any energy to beat it.
We wouldn’t have brains or any organs like we possess now.
We would not even realize that we exist because we wouldn’t be a conscious, sentient life form. Think about that a second!
So how do we get oxygen again?
The sun shines on plants causing photosynthesis. This creates a by-product of oxygen.
Why do other planets not have atmospheres and oxygen?
Because Earth is protected by the Van Allen belts.
These belts are magnetic forces surrounding the Earth. The giant molten core of the Earth is compromised iron and nickel. This core is huge! Larger than our moon.
So how large are these belts?
The belts extend 400,000 feet from the ground.
They protect us from deadly rays of our Sun.
Without the belts, we would burn to a cinder and evaporate in seconds standing in direct sunlight.
So why do the other planets not have these belts?
Because their cores are too small to keep up the nuclear reactions.
As a result, the atmosphere burns off and disappears. Without an atmosphere, there is nothing to keep things like air, hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen from escaping the planet.
Book report on the four Horsemen
Forward: much of what we live by is metaphor.
Page 10 the popes reasoning had nothing to do with evidence.
Page 18 the giant airliner that can lift not just it’s own weight plus passengers and cargo but also the 120 tons of fuel to travel 7000 miles.
Page 23 which is more probable, that the impossible has really happened or that the conjuror has fooled you?
Page 42 it leaves people to their own superstitions.
Page 41 The religions have contrived to make it impossible to disagree with them critically without being rude.
Page 46 you have wasted your life!
Page 76 when some body plays the faith card. You just have to say well if that is true you’ll have to excuse yourself from the discussion because you have declared yourself incompetent to proceed with an open mind.
Page 72 if the Bible is not a magical book, Christianity evaporates.
Page 77 if the Bible had solid evidence such as DNA, our jaws would drop and we would have a sensible conversation about the source of this knowledge.
Page 117 you can lose yourself to fiction, and be totally moved to tears by it, but nobody would ever say you have got to believe that this person existed. Yes like the Irish bishop who said that he read Gullivers travels and didn’t believe a word of it MY note; why can’t people who read or referred to the Bible realize that they are reading fiction? They can read Superman or Star Trek and realize they are fiction, but they are blind to the fact that the Bible is total fiction!
