A
Ingested cysts survive in stomach, trophozoites created by cysts in small intestine attach to epithelium, resulting of mucosal function impaired by member Protozoa and host immune response

Epidemiology
A
Ingestion of fecally, contaminated water, person to person contact, day care centers, low infectious dose

Treatment and prevention
A
Tinidazole, flagyl, nitazoxanide
Prevention:boiling, filtering, disinfecting water
