Robinson projection
Minor distortions and areas most distorted are near the north and south poles
Winkle triple projection
Good overall view of continents shapes and sizes, land areas using the projection are not as distorted near the poles.
Mercator projection
True direction and land shapes fairly accurate but not size or distance, land forms far from the equator are really distorted.

Lines that are like rings that go around the earth, measurement Of height

another imaginary line that go up-and-down on the map

The usual predictable pattern of whether area over a long period of time
Tropics
The low latitudes near the equator
Drought
A long period of dryness.
El Nino
El Ninos form when cold winds from the east are weak.
La Niña
When the winds from the east are very strong.
Local winds
Local Winds are wind caused by landforms in a particular area.
Rainshadow
A dry area on the side of the mountains facing away from wind.
