Q

Why air temperature varies throughout the day

A
  • The earth rotating around its own axis
  • As the earth rotates, the side of the earth that faces the sun experiences day and receives solar radiation, hence has higher temperature.
  • As the earth rotates, the side of the earth that faces away from the sun experiences night, receive less solar radiation and hence lower temperature
