  • no historical event to mark the date;

>> it is a bit vague.

END:

  • 480 BC
  • Greek victory over the Persians -_ battle of Salamis_
  • ·The beginning of the pinnacle of the Greek art - beginning of Classical period.

+ around 500 BC Persian Empire Rebelled - series of Wars, end of Archaic Period

A

1 - ORGANIZED FORMAL RELIGION. Standartization of:

  • stone buildings - religious building;
  • images of gods.​

2 - Great expansion of LITERATURE and WRITING.

>> people could express themselves and exchange their ideas.

3 - POLITICS.

although it did start as a big mess (since even Athens came through number of political systems, it did kind of became more organized by the end; at least they did established polisei and colonies)

4 - CULTURAL AWARENESS of being Greek (overarching concept over time).
