Diaphragm
(C3, C4, C5 keep the diaphragm alive”) - Book points just to C3. Phrenic nerve is C3,c4,c5.
Vertebrae level: C2–C4 vertebral levels in the spinal canal
Trapezius
Motor: Spinal accessory nerve XI and Sensory/Proprioception - C3 C4 - Book has it at C3 for motor not sure why.
Vertebrae level C2-C4.
deltoid (axillary nerve) and biceps brachii (musculocutaneous nerve)
C5 (and partially C6) - Vertebrae level C4, c5
Wrist extensors
Myotome = C6 - (receive contributions from multiple cervical roots (usually C5–C7) - Vertebrae level around c5.
Triceps
(the “C7 myotome”) Vertebrae level c6.
Hand intrinsics
The ulnar nerve and the median nerve from the lower trunk of brachial plexus
C8-T1
from vertebrae level T1-T2.
Intercostals
ventral rami of T3–T6 become intercostal nerves
