Decreased fremitus
Tracheal deviation toward affected side
Atelectasis
OR
Endobronchial Tumor
Decreased fremitus
Tracheal deviation toward unaffected side
Pleural Effusion
Auscultation is NOT helpful for finding
Carotid body hypersensitivity
Determine carotid body hypersensitivity BEFORE auscultation by
ask pat about unexplained fainting or lightheadedness with touching anterior neck - shaving, make-up etc
or an aversion to tight neck clothing
